Since you’re here, why not try a couple of exercises to stretch and strengthen your back…
First lift one arm over your head, stretch up to the sky and slowly rotate it backwards, then lift your second arm and follow the first… keep on rotating like a windmill for between 30 and 60 seconds.
It’s easy and effective, just remember, when your right arm is up, your left arm should be down!
For this exercise you need to position yourself on your hands and knees - just like a Bruno bear...
Reach forward with your left arm, and at the same time, lift and stretch back your right leg. Hold the pose for 5 seconds, and return your hand and knee to the floor. Repeat the exercise with you right arm and left leg.
Stand up tall with your legs slightly apart and your arms hanging loosely at your sides. Slowly tilt your head sideways so your left ear reaches down to meet your shoulder – no, no, don’t lift your shoulder!
At the same time, reach your right hand towards to ground and hold the pose for 15 seconds. Return to upright and repeat on the opposite side.
Stand up tall with your back straight. Step back with your right leg and bend your right knee down to the floor. Place your right hand on your left knee for support and hold the pose.
Step back to upright and mirror the exercise with your left leg. Repeat five times.
